In a newly spotted image online, Xiaomi’s rumored Redmi Note 2 Pro has managed to get plenty of views, and this time around, the device was teased by Xiaomi’s President and Co-Founder Lin Bin. Xiaomi’s boss gave a hint on Weibo that the rumors were not just rumors; he released pictures of the rear camera of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro.
The image which was posted yesterday November 18th has matched with other image leaks of the top-notched Smartphone. The image shows the device sporting a circular camera lens at the rear, followed by a dual-tone flash below. The device also features a circular fingerprint sensor below the camera’s flash. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro image shows a gold colored device with a metal covering. All we got from the image was just a tip of the main features, so we may have to wait until it gets released to know some of its other features. As of today, Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed the name of the device and its launch date.
The much expected Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro was spotted at Tenaa listing last week, and based on the listing, we can expect that the new Smartphone will be featuring MediaTek’s MT6795 Helio X10 Processor, a wide 5.5-inch full-HD screen, a 2 GB sized RAM, a 16 GB inbuilt storage capacity, a 13-MP rear camera and a 5-MP front facing camera; it will be running on Android 5.0 Lollipop with a battery capacity of about 3060mAh. Tenaa listing also shows that the device will be weighing 165 grams and its size will be 149.9×75.9×8.7mm.
Seeing most features of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro, many have suggested that the device will be having many similar features with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2. With just these features, we may conclude that the only new inclusions are the fingerprint sensor and the metal body it has.
Xiaomi has been rumored to launch the Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship Smartphone along with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro, although we cannot conclude that this is a possibility now, we can just wait to see what Xiaomi is planning—it’s worth the patient wait. A leak shows that the Xiaomi Mi 5 Smartphone is possibly going to run on QUALCOMM’s Snapdragon 820 SoC, and if that happens, we can expect that Xiomi Mi 5 will hit the retail shops with the Q1 2016 after the SoC gets launched.
Another teaser released by Xiaomi shows the next generation of the Mi Pad 2, its looks and designs show a whole new touch to the tablet. With the first generation of the tablet featuring a plastic build, we can expect that this new tablet will run in a metal body. Xiaomi has stated that it will show more of the tablet to the world when it launches its Redmi Note 2 Pro.
With some reports pointing to November 24 as the release date of the Xiaomi Note 2 Pro and others pegging December 3 as the possible launch date of the Xiaomi Mi 5, we can just expect to receive each of the devices separately.
