The Mi 5, Xiaomi’s flagship Smartphone has been the subject of rumors for a very long time; first we got leaked images and we heard so many speculations about the Smartphone, for some reasons best known to Xiaomi, the Smartphone didn’t become official even when its predecessor was tired of the market. From a credible source though, we are bringing you fresh news that confirm the existence of a Mi 5 in the Xiaomi production facility.
Oppomart, an online mobile retailer recently put up a listing which detailed the specs of the Xiaomi Mi 5, but it took it down soon after posting it online. Although some of the specs were in line with the past rumors, there happens to be some additional tweaks that come with this beast of a Smartphone.
According to Oppomart’s listing, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be sporting a 5.5-inch Quad HD display (2560x1440pixels) along with a pixel density of 515ppi. Just as expected, the Smartphone will be running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset that’s clocked at 2.5 GHz. The device will be coming with 4GB RAM capacity and it will be having three different memory variants which will result in over three different price rates, 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. Due to the large memory sizes that the device comes with, the company seems to have been content with having a Smartphone with no slot for a microSD card, a development many may not enjoy.
The device will be featuring a 20MP rear-facing camera and an addition 8MP front-facing camera that gives you those nice selfie shots. Unlike its predecessor which runs on a 3G network, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be coming with a 4G capability, and it will be powered by a 3,800 mAh battery.
Since the Xiaomi Mi 5 was listed on a retailer website, am sure you will be interested in knowing the price tag. The device was priced at $599 but we cannot ascertain which of the variants will be going at this rate, so we may just have to sit and cross our fingers as we await more information on the Xiaomi Mi 5, then we will know if this price tag is for the lowest variant or for the highest variant.
Some days back, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note Prime, a Smartphone which also comes added with some nice features. The Smartphone comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, which happens to be the entry level chipset from Qualcomm. The Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime will also be coming with a 13MP rear facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The device will be coming with a lesser 3,100mAh battery, it will sport connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime comes with Android Lollipop MIUI7. A 5.5-inch screen size, a 2GB RAM and a microSD card slot are some of its added features.
