The Mobile World Congress is some days away, precisely 6 days. We will be seeing some of the most beautiful mobile devices around and these devices have always come with new features. Spanish city, Barcelona, will be host to some of the biggest tech companies in the world, and we are yet to see which mobile phone maker has something that can outwit the competitors in the mobile phone arena.
LG is proving to be one of the early birds this time around, not only has it been able to release some cool gadgets, it has also been able to make this gadgets come with some not-too-popular specs and features. Yesterday, it released two new Smartphones, the first set of Smartphones in the X-Series. The South Korean technology and consumer electronics maker has also announced that it will be launching the LG Stylus 2 at the MWC 2016 which starts next week.
The LG Stylus 2 may not have raised eyebrows as the first two devices in the LG X-Series did yesterday, but it sure made us want to take a closer look at its design. Coming as a successor to the LG G4 Stylus, the Stylus 2 comes with enhanced specs and it sports some slight differences from the LG G4 Stylus. The company has also hinted that it would be releasing a flagship LG G5 Smartphone at the event, so LG is releasing a minimum of four different devices at the Mobile World Congress.
The LG Stylus 2 will be looking much like Samsung’s Galaxy Note range of Smartphones as it will be coming with a Stylus. The phone will also be coming with a large 5.7-inch Full-HD display; it will also have some unique customizations like Pen Pop, Pop Memo and Pop Scanner. The LG Stylus 2 has a Pen Keeper which will be super handy for keeping the Stylus safe. Most of the Smartphones we must have seen from LG haven’t had a dedicated silo, but things will change this time around as the LG Stylus 2 will be the first LG Smartphone to come with one.
The phone would also be coming with a 3000mAh battery that is removable and it will also have a microSD card slot for those who wish to have memory expansions. Just like the two devices in the X-Series, the Stylus 2 won’t be a high-end device as it will be coming with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM while it maintains the same 16GB internal storage capacity that we find on the X-Series. The rear of the device is sporting a 13MP camera while we have an 8MP front-facing camera that satisfies all selfie needs.
The Smartphone will be running on Android Marshmallow OS, it will be 7.4mm ultra thin while its weight has been clocked at 145 grams. With the weight and the size, we should expect that this device will be significantly lighter than Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and iPhone 6S Plus. On the type of material that was used in making the housing of this device, we may have to wait until it gets released, then we would be sending you more hand-accessed details.
LG is known for teasing its mid-range products before the Mobile World Congress, and this year, the company has proved us right once again; really, old habits die hard.
