LG may not have been in the news, and it just proved why it hasn’t, as it revealed new series of Smartphones that come with amazing features and the features are just so great and cool. These will be the least rumored Smartphones, in fact, they came as a big surprise to all of us because we have all been busy spying on the Samsung Galaxy S7.
Earlier today, LG introduced its latest additions, the new X-Series of Smartphones that will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month. The first two entrants into the X-Series are the LG X-Cam and the LG X-Screen Smartphones. The company has revealed that it will be releasing these Smartphones along with the LG G5 at the Mobile World Congress on February 22.
The Smartphones will be making their entry into some of the world’s biggest markets like Asia, Europe and Latin America from next month. The company promised March as the right time to begin worldwide shipments, so we may have to wait until then to be able to get an idea of the pricing.
The giant tech and consumer electronics maker has said that these devices will be best for those who do not want high-end features but who still don’t mind having a device with a great camera and a clearer display. The LG X-Cam comes with dual cameras on the rear while it also sports 3D Bending Glass which lets it have that curved finish on the front. Talking of thickness, the device is 5.2mm thick and it weighs 118 grams.
On the other hand, the LG X-Screen comes with an “Always On” second screen which has been spotted on only the LG V10 Smartphone. The LG G5 Smartphone has also been touted to be coming with this feature, so we may be welcoming an era of LG Smartphones with this sleek “Always On” feature.
The LG X-Screen comes with a 4.93-inch In-cell display with a resolution that’s clocked at 720×1280 pixels. The other screen of the Smartphone is designed to show notifications for apps, calls and messages without interrupting the current activity. The second screen is also designed for users who may want to check the time, date and battery status with ease. The “Always On” feature allows you do some things without having to turn the phone itself on.
The X-Cam sports a larger 5.2-inch Full-HD In-cell display. It comes with 1.14GHz octa-core processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage capacity. The Smartphone comes with dual 13MP and 5MP cameras at the rear, while an 8MP camera gallantly stands on the front. The Smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 which supports 4G connectivity. The device comes packed with a 2520mAh battery, its dimensions are 147.5×73.6×6.9mm. The company said the device will be coming in four color variants of Gold, Titan Silver, White and Pink Gold.
The LG X-Screen is powered by a quad-core processor that’s clocked at 1.2GHz. It also comes with 2GB RAM and it has an inbuilt storage capacity that’s marked at 16GB. The device’s powerhouse is having a 2300mAh battery. The Smartphone sports a 13MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front facing camera and it runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.
