Smartphone makers also get tired of the rumors and leaks making the rounds, or so do I think. But whatever moved Samsung to make the J5 and J7 official is to be commended. We are still basking in the euphoria of the release of the Samsung Galaxy S7, but the J5 and J7 could be making us shift our attention for some time.
These Smartphones have been touted by Samsung to be very handy devices and they will be coming with some sleek and wonderful features and specs. Samsung has even gone on to tell us what to expect when these Smartphones get released.
The company listed a lot of things on its china website, and the only thing missing were the prices of the Smartphones. The company also stated when the Smartphone will arrive in some regions, and it also informed that the Smartphones will come as updates to the J5 and J7 that were released in July 2015.
The 2016 model of the Samsung Galaxy J7 will be coming with a dual-SIM feature, and we can expect to see a 5.5-inch Full-HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution that has been clocked at 1090×1920 pixels. The Smartphone will also be coming with an octa-core processor, but the company didn’t specify which processor will be used; the company simply hinted that’s the processor will be clocked at 1.6GHz.
The Samsung J7 will be coming with an onboard storage that’s clocked at 16GB, and users will have the chance to upgrade their memory to as much as 128GB using the microSD slot available.
The J7 will come with a rear-facing camera that’s clocked at 13MP while the front-facing camera is clocked at 5MP. Each of the cameras comes with a dual-tone flash and they both have an aperture that’s clocked at f/1.9. Its 3300mAh battery will offer you 354 hours of standby time, its connectivity options included Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB, while it is capped with a 4G LTE network capability.
Moving to the Samsung Galaxy J5, we should expect things to get a bit lower than what we saw on the Galaxy J7. Just like the older sibling, the Samsung Galaxy J5 will be coming with a dual-SIM technology while it will be sporting a lower 5.2-inch HD display that has a resolution that’s clocked at 720×1280 pixels. We would be expecting to see a quad-core processor on this Smartphone, but just like its older sibling, the processor to be used wasn’t specified.
It features a lower 3100mAh battery that offers you 369 hours of standby time and we could be seeing about 48 hours of talk-time on this Smartphone. It comes with 1.5GB RAM and its onboard storage is clocked at 8GB. It also comes with a 13MP rear-facing camera, while the front-facing camera still remains at 5MP. Lest I forget, the two Smartphones feature displays that have been coated with a multi-touch feature and that goes on to add to its usefulness.
These are Samsung’s upcoming Smartphones. They never fail to give us that “wow” feeling, and just as always the giant South Korean Smartphone and consumer electronics maker is on-point.
