Of all the awesome things we can imagine, the Amazon groceries store may come as the least expected at this time in man’s history. Imagine entering a shop down the street, buying all you want without having to check out, well, that’s what Amazon is offering.
The company has gone after book stores, throwing many of them out of business, it has gone after retail chains and even electronics shops, making it pretty hard for all these to retain their customers, and with the introduction of the Amazon Go, the company has now gone after grocery stores.
The company unveiled its new physical store in a video yesterday, a store that sells both ready-made meals and grocery essentials. Well, if that’s all we have to deal with, we may not have blinked an eyeball. Instead of the many things it is offering, what is of interest to many is the one thing it doesn’t really have, and that’s the checkout lines. With the use of the new app, users can check in at the entrance of the store, and then they can move on to grab whatever they need.
