Electric-powered commercial flight between London and Paris is expected to become a reality in the next ten years as promised by a new start-up.
A-yet-to be-launched aircraft will supposedly convey about 150 persons on the less than 300 miles journey.
According to Wright Electric, by eliminating the use of jet fuel to fly aircraft, the cost of air travel would drop significantly.
Easyjet, a low-cost British airline has expressed its fascination by the technology.
As reported by BBC, “Easyjet has had discussions with Wright Electric and is actively providing an airline operator’s perspective on the development of this exciting technology.”
From analysis drawn up, Wright One (electric-powered commercial flight) must overcome certain inevitable difficulties before becoming a reality.
