Facebook has strongly been against the dislike button, but it may finally be coming to agree with the high demand for the feature. For the first time, the social media giant is trialing a dislike button, and it seems like the feature will be included in the Messenger app permanently, well, that’s depending on the reception it gets.
A very small number of people have now seen the feature on their Messenger apps, and they now have the option to use the feature on individual messages.
The dislike button has been used in the news feed for quite some time, and the company has expertly integrated some pretty cool emojis in addition to the dislike button just so that people will be able to relate more closely and personally through messaging.
The basic reason Facebook has not taken the dislike button as a priority is its history with bullies and the effect these bullyings have on those being targeted, the company also fears that brands may not be seeing it has a cool one, because consumers will then be able to show exactly how they feel about any promotion they (companies) are running.
