Microsoft is experiencing a noteworthy revamping.
The tech company is slicing thousands of jobs, for the most part in sales positions, as per a source comfortable with the issue.
Microsoft affirmed the move in an announcement sent to CNN Tech, taking note of it is “taking steps to notify some employees that their jobs are under consideration or that their positions will be eliminated.”
“Like all companies, we evaluate our business on a regular basis,” the spokesperson said. “This can result in increased investment in some places and, from time-to-time, re-deployment in others.”
The job cuts affect workers essentially outside the U.S. Microsoft would not specify the correct number of cutbacks.
The revamping was declared internally on Monday.
A week ago, reports surfaced that Microsoft arranged a revamping to focus more on cloud deals.
The news came as its cloud organizations keep on performing great. Income from Azure, its key distributed computing stage, took off 93% in its latest quarter.
